Hi I'm Heather

I sing in my car a little to loud, I love to laugh, I'm a recovered addict, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my life of sobriety, I have been sober since 2010. I spent 9 years of my life with a substance abuse and I really let that define who I was. I really used it also to help get away from the realities of figuring out how to answer this very question who am I.even after I become sober it was like well I'm the addict.. I couldn't get over that but, Now you have a hard time getting me to stop on my paragraph of WHO I AM. finding myself has been so precious to me and I wouldn't change the road to get here at all. I am a outgoing, full of life women, I love to be around people, I love hearing peoples life stories and their dreams and desires. I have a huge passion for nature and love being out in it, walks are one of my favorite pass times, rather it be in my neighborhood or up in the mountains I have found it brings me so much peace and helps me to slow down, and take it all in. I love photography pictures capture sweet memories and help us share them with generations to come. I love my job I work as a nanny for 3 beautiful children who bring me so much joy, I love helping them grow and watching them change each day. I love getting the chance to see life through a childens eyes again and they help me to see life in a much more fun and simple way. I am also a aunt to 5 beautiful children who i love and adore and I love spoiling them and getting to help in their growth spiritually and mentally as well as be the "fun, crazy" aunt.

Why I am a Mormon

You might hear people say they were born into the church which was true for me, my mother and father are both members and raised me up in the church, but it wasn't until i was 21 that I discovered for myself that I wanted to be apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints and call my self a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I have a Father in Heaven who loves me for all of weaknesses and strengths, a father who loves me so much that he is there to walk beside me always and when times get the toughest he is there to pick me up and carry me. He also gave his son for me so that I could know the way back to him and his son my brother Jesus Christ gave his life so that I could come to this life and be imperfect and still have the chance to return home safely to my fathers arms in heaven. I know that I am a daughter of a my heavenly father and I have great peace because of that. I know that what I read in the Bible as well as in the Book of Mormon are true teachings from prophets that have lived before us that have experienced the trials and have learned to have faith and trust in Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven and I am grateful for the things I can learn from them by example. I know My savior lives and I know that he loves us, I know that because of him we will be able to return home safely in the arms of my Father in Heaven, and that through the power of the Holy Ghost we never have to feel alone.

How I live my faith

At church I serve as a ward missionary meaning I go out and do visits with the full time missionary's. I also serve as welcoming committee , so when someone new moves into our church I go and visit them and welcome them to the area make sure they are getting settled in okay see if their is anything they need. I do volunteer work in the community through special Olympics and I meet so many great people. I love doing working in the community it really helps show me how many good people are out there, I have come to know so many great people through doing this.
