Hi I'm Anona

I'm a friend, a wife, a mom, a writer, and a member of Christ's church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life in one sentence: I'm one of 10 kids, was homeschooled growing up, traveled a lot, lived in some cool places, married my great husband, graduated from college, had two kids, and now I homemake my little heart out!

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been interested in spiritual things--I read the Bible cover to cover before I was 12, then wanting more, started reading the Book of Mormon. As a teenager in the middle of a rather unhappy home, it brought me the feeling of peace and love I had found earlier while reading the Bible. Feeling God's love made me treat other people differently, and that changed my life. As I prayed to know if the Mormon church was what it claimed to be--Christ's ancient church restored to the earth in these modern days--I not only felt the Spirit touch my soul that it really was, but I saw the difference in my life as I lived as a believer!

How I live my faith

I try first of all to live my faith in my family, since Mormons believe that we can be with our families forever. I know the shortcomings, faults, and annoying habits of my family members better than anyone else, so it's really hard sometimes, but I try to treat my family members like Jesus would want me to. Beyond that, I always find lots of great service opportunities as a member of the LDS Relief Society--one of the largest womens' organizations in the world. They're mostly just small things like babysitting, taking meals to people that need them, helping clean the church, visiting other women to share a scriptural thought with them. etc., but they're needed. I try to be a good neighbor and a friend. That's about it, I guess.
