Hi I'm Michael

Yes, I am a MORMON! It was the BEST thing I have ever done and changed my life FOREVER!!!

About Me

I was born and raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts. I have always lived very close to the ocean and dont think i could ever be away from it for any long length of time. Nothing like a cool ocean breeze along a fine sandy beach or the sounds and activity in a rustic coastal village. Being from New England seafood is plentiful and I quite enjoy most types of seafood some of which include lobster, clams, scallops, and deep sea bass. It is as fresh as you can get it here, freshly caught and ready to eat. New England has a great history and heritage with its roots deep within the settling and independance of this great country. There are so many patriotic, historical, and nautical sites to visit and enjoy. I am always amazed with what I discover here in this part of the country. I am married to a wonderful and very supportive woman and together we have 8 fantastic children whom we are both very proud of. I have a son who is now serving a mission in the Philippines tending His flock in that part of His vineyard. I work for a major consumor products company in the area and have been with them for +30yrs. I look forward to retiring someday, but not yet. I still have many good years in me still.

Why I am a Mormon

Good question! Its actually an evolutionary process to how I became a Mormon. I was raised in catechism of the Catholic Church, with all of its doctrines and dogmas. As a youth I pretty much followed its teachings, as much as a young boy can. However, as i grew older I would inquire more and more about its teachings. I was never given an answer that would directly and succinctly answer my inquiry. Many times it was cloudy, convoluted, confusing, and many cases just never answered. I knew that God wasnt the master of such confusion, so I took matters into my own hands. I started to search for myself, with parayer and guidence from above, as well and over many years of simple and gentle nudges, he put people in my path to steer me where he wanted to to go. I must have looked into at least a dozen different churches trying to find that warm peaceful feeling telling me that I had finally arrived where he wanted me. many of the churches i looked into had many wonderfull attributes but never the fullness and completeness that I yearned to find. I felt as an empty shell wanting to be filled with Gods eternal teachings and tender love. Year after year and church after church he skillfully guided me where he wanted me FINALLY. I had met a young woman who had introduced me to the missionaries to which I investigated for about a year, making sure this was the TRUE Church on earth today. I must admit I gave the missionaries quite a challenge with all the intricate and indepth questions I presented to them, but unlike the others the missionaries were able to answer ALL of them with the simplicity of Gods teachings and principles. I was challenged to baptism and as I was praying and pondering it all came to me in a DREAM, such a wonderful dream, one which changed my life forever

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best father and husband I can be (by the way, I married that young woman who introduced me to the missionaries). I have served in many callings in the church over the past 25 years since my baptism, from being a Ward Clerk to being a member of the Bishopric and almost everything inbetween. My favorite callings have been working with the Youth. It has made me a much better person serving others in my callings. I continue to live my faith even through the earthly trials and tribulations placed before me as i live this mortal life. I live and pray everyday to rejoin Him again in His celestial glory with all of my family.
