Hi I'm Mari

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 23-year-old college student studying Speech and Hearing Science, hoping to either go to graduate school in Speech Language Pathology, Student Affairs, or Special Education. I love photography and anything artistic. Hiking, rock climbing, bouldering, swimming, or anything in the mountains makes me feel right at home.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been in the LDS church since the days of Joseph Smith. They were converted in England, came to America, and were a part of the pioneer trek west. Why I am LDS is because I have chosen to be. I was born in to the church and baptized and confirmed at 8. I became less active when I went off to college. During this time, I was not happy with my life and where I was going. I decided that I needed a "180" and a complete change in my life. From this point onward, I have chosen that this gospel is what I need in my life to make me a better person. The Gospel and the blessings I have experienced from it are the only things that have filled my life with pure joy and pure excitment.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being myself, but searching for constant improvement- positivity, optimism, and enjoyment out of life. I go to church every Sunday and try to attend the temple regularly. I have taught a few lessons to the youth and adults, as well as visit less active members in my surrounding neighborhood. I attend institute classes at my university as well.
