Hi I'm Tony

I am a Quality Manager. My mother is a bartender. My brother is a minister. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father, quality manager, and scoutmaster. I love adventure! I have been scuba diving, skydiving, rock climbing, river running, and done many more adventurous outdoor activities. I love to stand on the tops of mountains to gain perspective of where I am in life and where I am going. From this vantage point it is also easier to see where I have been and how I can do better.

Why I am a Mormon

I visited several churches in my neighborhood when I was young and was invited to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I kept attending and heard how families can be together forever. My parents devorced when I was four years old and my mother shortly remarried. This marriage only lasted three years. I knew I wanted to be part of an eternal family. I watched several other families at church and knew that when I started a family, I wanted it to be like theirs. I knew that the best way for me to have an eternal family was to get sealed in the temple for time and eternity. I was not too active during my junior high school years, but in high school (nineth grade), I started attending early morning seminary. I had wonderful teachers and great friends. I learned much about the scriptures and how to feel the spirit. I also wanted to share the understanding I had of the gospel of Jesus Christ with others, so I decided to go on a mission. I would then have great foundation I felt was needed to build an eternal family. I had recognized the Holy Ghost before, but while serving a mission I felt it more freequently and powerful than ever. My understanding of the gospel, the Savior Jesus Christ, and his atonement increased many fold. I was able to be married for time and eternity. I have now been married for over 20 years and have a wonderful family. Things are not always easy, but as I read the scriptures, pray, and attend church, I am constantly reminded of the things that most important to me. My relationship with God, and my family.

How I live my faith

I am a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America. I have the opportunity to take young scouts into the mountains and show them the wonders of Gods creations. My faith is reaffirmed when I look at the night sky and contemplate its boundaries. I also get to teach these young scouts as they attend church on Sunday. I volunteer with the city as member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). This helps me teach the scouts the Emergency Preparedness merit badge.
