Hi I'm Kayleen

I am a high school teacher and was born Deaf. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am single but I feel I have thousands of children myself through my teaching at school even though I haven't born one. Mathematics has been my favorite subject growing up. So I ended up teaching mathematics in high school for the Deaf. I went to college and recieved BA in secondary education and MEd in Deaf education. I've coached volleyball and track for years and love to see those teenagers develop their skills. I enjoy camping and outdoors even fishing. I enjoy fixing things around the house. I have two small darling dogs that gives me much joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born with goodly parents. Even though I was raised a Mormon, I still have to find the truth for myself. There are times in my years that has troubled me. Reading the scriptures always inspire me to do the right thing. I have learned to love the Book of Mormon along with the Holy Bible. The most inspiring moment I have from the gospel is feeling the spirit of the Lord and His love for me. This has made my testimony of the gospel stronger as I get older.

How I live my faith

I have served as a Sunday School teacher for the Deaf for many years. I feel that my students have taught me more than I taught them. Currently, I am the coordinator for the Deaf group in my ward. I enjoy going to church every Sunday to relive the sweet spirit there and partake it everyday and everywhere during the week.
