Hi I'm Kelsi

I was born and raised in Southern California. I surf, I play the ukulele, I'm a complete science geek, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lubbock, Texas. I completed two years of school in Hawaii, majoring in Pre-professional Biology. I love surfing and playing the ukulele. I've done everything from automotive studies, to sign language, to music classes and I've really enjoyed everything, but I ultimately want to get into the medical field. I also travel all over the world with my awesome family. It's so cool to experience new people, new places, and new cultures. Whenever I can find a break from school work, I love watching movies, reading, or casually surfing the interwebs.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been active my whole life, but I never really had a strong testimony until a couple years ago. I wouldn't say my testimony came easily. I worked harder, prayed more, and listened for answers more than I ever had in my life. I'm a Mormon because it simplifies my life and helps me through the rough patches. I know that God loves me and loves everyone, no matter where they are in their life. I've felt my Savior's love and I've seen how much He blesses me when I'm living a righteous lifestyle. Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed, reading my scriptures or saying a sincere prayer brings exactly the comfort I need. I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy, gives me a purpose, and leads me down the right path. That's really what life's all about.

How I live my faith

I am an actively participating member. I attend church services and activities but it ultimately comes down to living the gospel. In everything you do and everything you say. You can go to church every Sunday but that doesn't mean you believe it or you live it. For me, I would be lost without the gospel. I need it in my life to keep my head clear and my priorities straight. When I put Christ at the center of my life then everything else just falls into place.
