Hi I'm Bobby

I am from California. I like to surf and play soccer. I am going to school to become an Architect. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a BYU-Idaho student raised in San Diego, California. I love to go surfing and play soccer. My family is very dear to me, they love and support me through every step of my life. I am studying to be an Architect. I have had many achievements in life one of which I am most proud is my Eagle Scout Award. I'm just a normal kid like everybody else. And, I'm a Mormon. I know there are many young people out there who are searching for the right path. I feel blessed that I have been able to establish my foundation in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It really is the path to God as well as the path to success on this Earth. When we live the gospel teachings we are blessed and guided in our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is the most important thing to me and because of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for us I will be able to live with them forever, even after I die. My family has been there for me my whole life and it's because of the teachings of this church. Growing up in the church has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I have been able to see my parents and grandparents as examples my whole life. This has made me become firm in my testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one and only true church on this Earth. I was baptized when I was 8 and don't remember it all that well. Even though I don't remember it that much I still know now that it was the right decision for me to make at that time. Since then I have been learning and growing my testimony constantly. I now go to college and am preparing to serve a full time mission for two years. All my experiences growing up have led me to make this great decision. Because my parents have been such good examples to me of how to live my life righteously I was able to feel the spirit for myself and pray to know whether the teachings of this church are true or not and also if I should go on a mission. I have a firm testimony that the things we learn and read in the Book of Mormon and also hear from the leaders of this church are truly inspired of God. There is no other church that has the complete truth of the Gospel and I know this because I have prayed and asked God myself. That is why I am a Mormon. That is also why I am going to serve the Lord for two years. Every one in the world needs to hear this Gospel and have a chance to accept it. I am going to do what I can to spread the word. It will not stop with my missionary service either. Even after my mission I will be learning and studying more so that I can be able to help others know of the truth.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday so that I can partake of the Sacrament to cleanse myself and so that I can learn more of the Gospel and understand it better. There is always more to learn and that is one of the things that is so amazing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No matter how much one learns; the scriptures, leaders, and Holy Ghost never stop revealing new understanding or even completely new topics to you. I go to church and listen to my leaders so that I can receive as much knowledge as possible. There is one thing that we can take with us after this life out of everything we own and that is our knowledge. I have been able to be the leader of the young men's group in my congregation for 6 years and it has been such a blessing. Not only have I learned spiritual things but also worldly things like how to lead meetings and organize groups of people to get things done. Being a leader is a very important part of society and this church does such a good job of preparing youth to be better citizens in this world. I know that when I do simple things like praying and reading my scriptures I am closer to our Heavenly Father and I am able to feel the Spirit to help me do the right things and help others. By following the commandments of God and living righteously we will ultimately be able to receive all that he has and be able to return to live with him again in a an exalted state.
