Hi I'm Anika

I grew up in Long Island. I love to run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four kids. My husband and I met while in college. I love to run lond distances. I have run three marathons. My major in college was recreation managament, and I minored in music. I play the flue, piano, and organ. I love to play almost any kind of sport.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I know that it is the true church. When I live the teachings I'm taught there I am happy inside and I feel greater love for my Heavenly Father, and for those around me, and myself. The Book of Mormon strengthens my faith and desire to do good and repent every time I read it. Heavenly Father has willingly forgave me of my sins through Jesus Christ, and I want to live and keep his commandments to show my love to Him for all he has done for me. My children know Jesus Christ loves them, and that there is a prophet on the earth, and they learn each Sunday the precious truths that will help them get through any trial they have their whole life through. I know Jesus Christ loves me and all of us, and through this gospel we can return to Him.

How I live my faith

I organize the events for my congregation. We have a Memorial Day Picnic, A Halloween Carnival, and a Christmas Party. It has been an awesome experience getting to know everyone in the congregation by delegating responsibilities to everyone. I visit four women in my area to make sure they are doing okay, and help them know that Heavenly Father is mindful of them and their circumstances. One woman lives in an assisted living home, and it has been an awesome experience for my children to visit her as well. She made all my children beautiful blankets. The friendships I have made through these visits has been wonderful. I used to teach the young children, age 10. I loved seeing their faces as they learned the things of God. My husband and I sing in the choir, but as our family has grown it has been harder to do that.
