Hi I'm Heather

I am a Nursing student. I have the cutest little baby boy! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading, hiking, baking, crocheting, learning new things, helping others, and spending time with my husband! I love being a mother to my baby boy! I am studying nursing, and would love to do humanitarian work for the Church!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my family was always active in the Church. I believed everything I was taught and it made sense to me. However, when I was 16, I decided I really needed to find out for myself if the Church was true or not. I had just finished reading the Book of Mormon, and I decided to pray about it. I prayed for a long time, pouring my soul out to God. I had a very peaceful feeling come over me. I knew it was true! Since that time, as I have kept the commandments, I have been blessed in so many ways. Little assurances come letting me know that Heavenly Father loves me, and that I am doing the best I can. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints helps give my life direction and purpose. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Currently, my husband and I teach the 7 and 8 year olds. This has been a wonderful blessing and opportunity. This is the age group where children are preparing for baptism. These children have such great faith and have been wonderful examples to me. Every night, my husband and I read from the scriptures together. Once a week we have Family Home Evening where we discuss spiritual things and have an activity. We go to the temple as often as we can.
