Hi I'm Andrew!

I'm a runner, brother, ridiculously awesome guy, good looking, a convert and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I am Andrew! Im a fairly recent convert August 8th 2009 and I am actually currently serving a full time mission in Boise, Idaho! Im a pretty athletic guy... I grew up playing baseball and in high school i gave up all sports to focus on running and actually set some records in doing so! I enjoy all sports and continue to play them as often as I can! Im the only member in my family and i love it because i get to share the gospel with my family everyday! When i get home from my mission i want to run marathons and triathalons and my ultimate goal is to become an elementary school teacher and give back to the community or open my own pizza shop with a fellow missionary I am serving with! A little about my conversion story... i grew up fairly active in the Episcopalian faith and always enjoied church and all the activities but always felt there was something missing... eventually my family and I stopped going as often and around my senior year one of friends asked me to meet with the missionaries and I agreed! After meeting witht hem i felt that there was no longer anything missing and i prayed and received the answer from God to join this church! I invite you to do the same and find out for yourself if this church is true!

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of this church because i prayed and recieved an answer from Our Heavanly Father that this is truly His church and this is what i needed to do! I became a member because i agree and stand for all the morals principles and beliefs that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints does! Knowing that i can be with my family for not only time but all eternity made a huge influence on me... my family means the world to me and the church is centered around families! In the end the simple answer to why I am a Mormon is because i prayed specifically and received the answer that this is what i need to do thru the power of the Holy Ghost!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing the Gospel every single day! One of the most simple ways to live ones faith is through being obedient to the Lords commandments! All in all i live my faith through action because faith is an action word! My example is how I live my faith!

In whom should we have faith?

Andrew!
We should place our faith in Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ... We can only be saved through Jesus Christ! So all in all we must trust, believe in, and act on our faith in Him and we will be saved! Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Andrew!
I personally attribute the growth of the Church to the power of the Holy Ghost! this Church is the true church on the earth today! And because it is the truth our Heavanly Father will testify of it through the power of The Holy Ghost... so I invite you to do the same...ask God, the Eternal Father and the Holy Gohost will testify the truth of the church unto you! What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Andrew!
A testimony is something that the one "bearing" or giving the testimony knows whole heartedly is true! testimonies can be either very simple or fairly indepth but its is always special to the one giving it because it is somethign they personally know is true! I have a testimony that our Heavenly Father loves me and you both, that he has a plan for both of us to return to him and have eternal life, that the Book of Mormon speaks his word, that through the Holy Scriptures our life can be made easier and that Joseph Smith was a prohet and he restored the one true church on the earth today, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Andrew!
Baptism is a wonderfully oppurtunity we all have to be cleansed of our sins! We as Latter Day Saints believe baptism is a saving ordinance and is a very important step in showing our Heavanly Father and Jesus Christ we are willing to obey commandments and need them in our life! By being baptized we humble ourselves we fuffil a commandment and we are cleansed of sin! what an awesome gift our Heavanly Father has given us! And whats even cooler is that every week that we partake of the sacrament we renew our covenants or promises made at baptism and our sins can be washed away again! One important thing to remember though is that baptism is not the end we must endure to the end! So all the steps one takes to get to baptism must be continued after baptism as well we must always have faith and repent and remember Jesus Christ! Just get baptized it will bless your life more than you could ever imagine :) Show more Show less
