Hi I'm Bethany Roper

I grew up in New Mexico. I am a harp performance major in college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of seven in my family. I love playing the harp and my dream is to be a symphony harpist one day. If I could live anywhere, it'd be Australia because I've been there before and everyone is so nice and there is so much culture; plus, I wouldn't have to learn another language! I am an Arizona wildcat through and through. I love reading and spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

It's easy for me to say "I'm a Mormon" because so is my entire family. I grew up in the church. But as I've gotten older, I've come to find out for myself that I want to be a member of this church because I know it's true. I am a Mormon becase through this gospel, I have learned how to gain a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I have learned that unlike the world says, I have divine potential, am important, beautiful, and have a purpose on this Earth. I have so many resources through this gospel to get through the hard times of life: prayer, scriptures, a knowledge of the atonement and that the Savior has experienced everything I have, leaders, and so many other things. I commend all of those members of this church who are the only members in their family; that surely must be very difficult and lonely at times.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? Well, that's just the thing that I love about this gospel: it is a lifestyle, not just a Sunday thing. I live my faith by doing many things. One example is by attending church every Sunday for three hours of enrichment and edification. I partake of the sacrament and remember the sacrifice of my Savior. I am a musician and thus often participate in worship services through playing my harp. I love attending service projects of all kinds and being able to associate with others of my faith and inviting others who are not of our faith to learn more about it.
