Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing tennis, hiking in the mountains, and skiing. I am married and my wife and I have seven grown children. I am retired and worked in public human services as an administrator. I enjoy serving in the church and we hope to serve a mission in the future as senior missionaries.

Why I am a Mormon

When my wife and I were married she was a life time member and I was a nonmember. After we were married I attended church with her and about two years later after the birth of our first son I was baptized. This was a matter of study, prayer, and being taught in a Gospel Essentials class. I learned the truthfulness of the Gospel, that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, the Gospel in its fullness was restored, that we have a prophet today, that we have a Heavenly Father who hears and answers prayers, and that Jesus Christ is our Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through daily prayer, family prayer, reading the scriptures, attending my meetings, and serving in the Church fulfilling my calling in the stake presidency, home teaching to members, and trying to be a good neighbor. I enjoy visiting members including those that active in attending and those that are not. I try to bring a gospel oriented message and provide any service that may be of help. I love working with and serving the youth in our Church as they are the future and have such enthusiasm and are growing in their faith and testimony. Five of our sons have served two year missions for our church and I have seen how this has benefited them in so many ways; testimony, social skills, confidence, appreciation for others, etc. I want this experience and these blessings for all the youth of the Church.
