Hi I'm Jannifer

I'm a producer, a writer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Utah with my 5 siblings. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Broadcast Communications. I now work with a production team to create uplifting online videos called Mormon Messages. I'm married to the sweetest guy who has mad skills on the guitar. We live happily in a basement apartment. We don't have any kids or pets yet. I'm still working on keeping house plants alive, but once I succeed in that area, we will take on greater responsibilities. I love my family especially my darling nieces and nephews. I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. I also like being in nature and enjoy a good hiking or camping trip. My favorite places in the world are in Southern Utah among the desert red rock or the rolling green hills of Northern England. I'm an aspiring writer. I write for a couple of websites plus my own blogs, which keeps me busy.

Why I am a Mormon

When I have faced trials or my own personal weaknesses, God has been with me every step of the way when I turn to Him. I know He is there and hears our prayers. Many of my prayers have been answered through the Book of Mormon. When I read that book of scripture, it fills my life with more peace and the knowledge that things will work out. Because of these experiences, I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Being part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has helped me realize that I'm not alone and that God didn't send us here to fail. When I live according to the teachings of the LDS Church I'm happier. I believe God sent us here to ultimately be happy. The LDS Church also makes sense to me. It makes sense that God would call a prophet during our times, just like he did during biblical times. We need that guidance and direction. It makes sense that God would have a plan for us and that Jesus Christ at the center of that plan. It makes sense that God wants us to return to Him and progress to become like Him, just like a loving father would want great things for his children.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is more than just going to church on Sunday. I try my best to live my faith daily. I strive to be honest in my work and relationships. I try to remember that everyone is God's children and that He loves them. This helps defuse negative feelings that occur in life when you don't see eye to eye with someone. I do my best to live the standards of the gospel and not let things into my life through the media or other environments that don't meet those standards. Of course I'm not perfect, no one is. However, I have found when I do my best to live close to the Lord, He makes up for the rest. When I live aligned to Christ's teachings to the best of my ability, I'm much more at peace with myself and my life.
