Hi I'm Chris

I work as a legal secretary. I love to read, travel, cook and craft. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and a career woman. My husband and I got married in 2008. We don't have any children but we do have dogs--three of the cutest mutts you've ever seen! I work as a secretary in a downtown St. Louis law firm. I love to cook, travel, scrapbook and create handmade cards. I have an enormous CD library and have been a music lover all my life. I'm particularly fond of big bands, 70s singer-songwriters, and 80s British pop. I also love movies of all kinds.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was two years old, so it's really all I've ever known. When I was three, we moved to Keokuk, Iowa. There was no church building there at the time, so the nearest meetinghouse was in Nauvoo, Illinois. Nauvoo has a very special place in church history. We used to tour all the historic homes and buildings and watch the City of Joseph pageant every summer. I really came to love the prophet Joseph Smith and appreciate all the sacrifices he and the early saints made. I felt the spirit there in abundance and came to the sure knowledge that Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of God. He restored the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. I know Christ lives and loves each of us. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know our Heavenly Father wants nothing more than to bless our lives and make sure we can return to live with him one day.

How I live my faith

I have the privilege of working in the St. Louis Temple every week, and I love it! There is such a sweet, peaceful spirit there. I have been an organist for the past 15 years or so. I love the hymns of the church, and often have them pop into my head when I need a little encouragement in my life. I've worked with the single adults, the young women ages 12-18 and am currently a Sunday School teacher for adults.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

The Mormon lifestyle is great! We believe in living life to the fullest. We love having fun, learning new things and spending time with friends and family. We believe in work and trying our best in everything we do. We try to serve our fellow men the way the Savior would. We are encouraged to think for ourselves and gain our very own testimony. We Pray to our Heavenly Father to understand His will for us. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a sure foundation for a happy life! Show more Show less
