Hi I'm Caillen

I grew up in a single parent home. I'm studying music at University. I love Harry Potter and Doctor Who. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was six years old, my parents divorced. My father - an American - moved back to the States and my mother raised my two younger brothers and I. When I was 11 years old, I decided that I didn't want to go to church anymore. I wasn't sure if I even believed in what I had been taught since birth. I spent the next seven years going to various churches and researching religions. In the end, I moved to America to live with my father and part of the deal in living with him was that I return to church. I didn't have to believe in it, I just had to participate. My first day back at church after seven years, everything just made sense. I belonged somewhere.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because out of everything that I've done and will do, this just makes the most sense to me. You'll hear a lot of people in the church talk about the "feeling" they get, and if they were to explain it to you, you'd probably think they were crazy. Heck, if they tried to explain it to me, I'd probably think the same. To be honest, it's different for everyone. For me, it's a feeling in the pit of my stomach - sort of like butterflies. The hairs on my arms stand up on end. I know without a doubt that this gospel is true. It makes me happier than I've ever been and I know if I continue to progress in the gospel, I'll only be happier.

How I live my faith

At church, I run our ward choir. I love finding new songs for my choir to sing and seeing their smiling faces every Sunday. I have a great love and appreciation for music, as I am studying it at Uni, so I'm glad to have a calling that incorporates that love.
