Hi I'm Lucia

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Mexico but I grew up in California. I love family history and indexing.

About Me

I had the great blessing to come to the United states as a child and attend school. I grew up loving this country, now my country too. I work as a medical assistant but I'm planning to go back to school to continue my education. I love a variety of music, especially classical, 80's, latin and others. Being bilingual has openned many doors for me. I enjoy cooking, reading, being with friends, hiking, backpacking ; there are times I enjoy quiet activities but I also love those that require being more active and energetic.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was a young child I felt the need to come closer to God, even though I did not know how to do so. when the missionaries came to our house I learned to pray and to open my heart to the Heavenly Father; and reading I came to love My Saviour and Lord. I love the gospel and the knowledge that Heavenly Father is literally the father of my spirit, of all our spirits and that He has high expectations for us. He wants us to go back home to him, to live all of eternity with him.

How I live my faith

I enjoy participating in projects to help others, such as volunteering at the local food bank or joining the women in putting together hygiene kits to send to areas in need of help. I simply try to live the best I can and be honest to others and myself.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Lucia
Because we are all children of God, it would not be fair to deprive of salvation someone who did not have the opportunity, for one reason or another, to be baptized in life. Therefore, in His great mercy, Heavenly Father has provided the means for all to receive this essential ordinance. Show more Show less
