Hi I'm Yancy

I'm a Mormon. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am an Air Traffic Controller. Father of six.

About Me

Growing up my parents moved often and as an adult my Wife and I have continued the tradition. Moving for employment. I served 9 1/2 years in the United States Air Force and over 24 years in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an Air Traffic Controller. My Wife and I have six children and one Grand Son. My hobbies are Computers, Photography and Gardening. Our youngest son is 18 and we sometimes enjoy solving computer issues together. I have a real interest in Solar and Wind Power. My wife and I have had a food storage business since about 1993 currently on hold due to present employment. We enjoy helping others prepare for the future. I strongly believe in the Constitution of our Country and love the founding Fathers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but while serving in the military in my late teens, I started down the wrong path. Through the encouragement of a young women (a good friend) from Arizona I made a life changing decision to find my way back to Jesus Christ. Striving to live a Christ like life was a serious commitment for me I knew I needed to change if I wanted to become the person that I should be. I thank my Heavenly Father that he sent me friends that helped me find the courage to repent and return to Christ. For all of us life can be a struggle at times, but because of the Savior Jesus Christ we can deal and handle whatever life throws at us.

How I live my faith

I truly believe that to serve Christ we have to serve our neighbors, friends and family. I serve the Members of our community and church by educating them on preparedness strategies. We love to attend church and to renew the sacred covenants each week. Serving in the church is not a burden but a blessing. As member of the church we serve in callings without pay we know that serving each other is serving Christ. Presently I serve as Stake Emergency Preparedness Specialist.
