Hi I'm Holly

I am one lucky wife and mother. I am crazy about good food and Halloween. And I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to my best friend and mother of 3, 2 girls and a really chubby baby boy! I come from a family of ten. I love running, cleaning, Halloween, Christmas and spending time eating good food with my awesome family! If it was my choice, it would be September-December all year. I LOVE the holiday season and planning big parties for everyone. I am the second oldest in my family and spend time with my little brothers who are 19 years younger than me! I love my family more than life. We have had some hard struggles in life, but it continues to be a learning, growing experience! I love being a Mommy to my kiddos and they teach me patience each and every day. My husband will be celestialized for sure because he has put up with my stubborness for almost 10 years. Life is sweet.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel. I'm crazy about it. It brings more happiness than I can imagine. I was raised in the church but have gone through struggles where I have gained a solid testimony. My husband and I were expecting our 2nd baby when we found out we were being blessed with another girl. We were elated. The doctor came in to see us and had a concerned look on his face. He told us our baby girl was missing her left hand. My heart sank. Although the news could have been worse, I took it as bad as I could have. I thought of all the things she would be unable to do. My heart was broken. My husband remained my rock and I prayed like I never have. I began attending the temple once a week for peace. My baby girl was born 5 months later, perfect, with what we now affectionately refer to as, her "baby hand." I am so thankful our Father in Heaven is in charge. I wouldn't change my little girl for anything! She is now 4 years old and there is nothing she can't do! When she's in trouble, she rubs her "baby hand" on my face and gets just about anything she wants! She's a smart little stinker! One year after our baby was born, I started having really bad headaches. I was dizzy, disoriented, and couldn't sleep. I went to my doctor and had an MRI. The MRI revealed that I had a genetic problem with my brain called Chiari Malformation. The tonsils at the tip of my cerebellum were growing into my spinal column. I was scheduled for surgery to remove a portion of my skull so my spinal fluid would flow more freely. I had the surgery and a few days after, complications arose and I spent a total of 21 days in the hospital with a spinal leak and bacterial meningitis. I spent time in intensive care and nearly lost my life several times. My ward and family fasted and prayed and I was given a priesthood blessing. I know our Father in Heaven sustains us through trying times. He knows whats best and I have a testimony that we will be happy if we trust in Him.

How I live my faith

I help to serve and teach the women in my ward. I try to help those in need, whether they are sick physically or need emotional help. I have a love for the women in my ward that is indescribable. I know this has come from our Father in Heaven. I attend the temple with my husband, which we couldn't live without. I love reading the scriptures and having family prayer every night as well as Family Home Evening on Monday. My kids love primary and we love to sing songs together. I would be lost without the knowledge of the one and only true church. It is everything to me and I couldn't do anything in my life without it!
