Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a Law Student in Colorado. I enjoy history and sports. I have a wonderful wife and two daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While I was not born in Colorado, I moved here when I was 4 and graduated from high school here. I served a two year mission in Southern California and attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT after I got back from my mission in 2005. I married my wife in 2006, and we both worked to help me get through school at BYU. I graduated in 2009 with a degree in History, consequently I am a huge history nerd and enjoy reading and talking about history as much as I can. I also finished school with a minor in environmental science. About a month after I graduated we welcomed our first daughter into the world. Currently, I am back in Colorado attending Law School. My wife and I now have two daughters. In addition to being a history geek, I love almost anything to do with sports, I like to play most sports, and as my wife will attest, I probably spend too much time watching and following them.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, that He is the Savior and Redeemer of the whole world, and that the Book of Mormon testifies of that eternal truth. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it provides another witness to the divinity of Jesus Christ. Because I know the Book of Mormon is true, I know that Joseph Smith was prophet called to restore Christ's church in these days. I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the same church that Christ established when he was on the Earth, restored in these days and complete with apostles, who, just like the apostles of old, stand as special witnesses of the Savior. I have seen the blessings that come from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it has made me a better husband, a better father, a better friend, and a better man.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything that I do, my hope is that people can look at me and know from my demeanor and attitude that I have testimony of Jesus Christ. I have the opportunity to do several things as a member of the church. In the past I have planned and coordinated many activities and events for the church. Currently, I teach a Sunday School class consisting of the 14 and 15 year-old youth in our congregation. It is a wonderful opportunity to be able to teach these youth and many times I feel like they teach me more than I teach them.
