Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent 20 years in the mortgage loan industry until I got laid off a few months ago. I am finding that I can identify with many in my situation who have worked all their lives and suddenly find themselves unemployed. On the other hand, I have been able to spend more time with my family which is the most important thing in my life. I lost 2 sisters to ovarian cancer within 8 months of each other in 2009. I will never take my family for granted. My husband and I have been together for 42 years. We have two sons and two grandsons who we adore. I am so grateful for the Plan of Salvation that assures me that I will be with my family throughout eternity and I cherish this gospel principle

Why I am a Mormon

I come from pioneer heritage. My ancestors came from Denmark on my father's side and England, Scotland and Ireland on my mother's side. Even though I was born into a Mormon LDS family, I have a strong testimony of the atoning sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He suffered greatly for each one of us and I can't deny the power of His influence in my life. It gives me the strength to be a better wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in my ward as Relief Society President. I love the sisters in my ward and pray that I can be an influence for good in their lives.
