Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Mormon. I was raised in Colorado. I'm a CPA, work for a not-for profit, I love snowboarding and am raising my family here.

About Me

I loved Colorado and couldn't wait to move back after I finished college. I worked for a large CPA firm before I left to work for a non-profit organization in the healthcare field. I love the outdoors in Colorado, especially the sunshine we get almost year-round. I am raising my family here and we like snowboarding in the winter and wakeboarding in the summer. We enjoy Castle Rock and really love the schools and the community.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe life has a purpose and my faith helps me understand that purpose and to live it even better today than I did yesterday. I have the opportunity and responsibility of raising a family, and I am a better husband and father than I otherwise would be because I understand my purpose in life. I am able to serve people around me and experience the joy of lifting others as I serve. I believe a loving God wants me to live with purpose so I am not blown about by every social trend or popular new idea that does not lead to happiness in the end. I believe He provides prophets, as He has done since the beginning of time, to help me understand the purpose of life. He has those apostles write their teachings and they are now found in the scriptures that guide my life. I am blessed to have the teachings of living apostles and prophets to guide me in this day and age when our challenges are different than in the past. I feel very blessed to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and know the greatest happiness I've experienced has come from living my life the way that Christ taught.

How I live my faith

Me and my family try to be part of our community and to make it better. We try to organize events in our neighborhood - Christmas parties, appreciation dinners for our kids' school teachers, neighborhood cleanup efforts, etc. I serve as a home teacher and try my best to watch after several families to provide support when they need it and to assure them I'll be there if they ever need anything. I work with young people of our faith, ages 18-30, and really enjoy supporting them in any way I can. They are truly amazing!
