Hi I'm Richy

I'm from Chihuahua, i am serving as a full-time missionary in Southern California, i love to dance and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like xtreme sports, watch movies, dance, listen to music, eat some delicious pizza and I used to spend most part of my time with family and friends. They've been the reason to never give up. When I was 10 my parents got divorced and my sister and I were under the care of mom, it was a time to think about the relationship between God and me, as little I was I started to attend many different churches and I was wondering If there really was a God. When I got to High School, I met a good mormon friend and my life changed for good since that time.

Why I am a Mormon

During my childhood and youth I saw how my parents closed the door to a couple of young missionaries in thier noses everytime. And I grew up with a different idea about what they were sharing and I always had in my mind to never give them a chance. I remember one afternoon I had an asthma attack, my dad was working and mom was worried beause there wasn't anybody to help us, so I remember that afternoon, the young missionaries were passing around my house and they asked my mom If there was anything they can do for her, she didn't know what to do and let them in. I remember they put their hands on my head and gave me a blessing. I was about 6 years old and my mind doesn't recall every detail, i don't remember the words they said or anything else but from that time on I've never had problems with it again. We went to live in another place so I lost contact with the church or any source pertaining to it. I was 17 when a couple of young missionaries came to my house by inspiration and told me: "Hi, we felt the impression to pass by before getting home, we're representatives of Jesus Christ" it was around 9:00 pm, I just replied: " I have a good mormon friend, come on in" they were surprised and taugth me the Restoration of the Gospel, I can't remember exactly what they said the first time we met, but I came to know the message they were sharing was true, but by reading the evidence, the Book of Mormon and praying about it, i recieved a confirmation from the Holy Ghost that it was true. I got baptized and confirmed two months later as member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 2008. And I've been so blessed and happy from that time.

How I live my faith

Serving a mission in California Aneheim has been the most important thing i've ever done. I love to serve others even if I don't know them, I like to serve and help people to return to my Heavenly Father's presence. To serve a mission isn't easy, it requires a lot from each one of us. A lot of energy, courage, etc; but the happines is bigger when we do what the Lord allows us to do. I've seen and felt how my Heavenly Father has put His missionaries in the right place His children needed. I love this work, i love to get home completly tired and to get up at 6:30 to do my whack excercises ha ha.
