Hi I'm Stacey

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

All my life I was raised in a suburban town in New Jersey. I relocated to California three years ago to try something new. I graduated from college majoring in business management and I am currently working full-time in retail. I enjoy seeing live music, horseback riding and surrounding myself around good people. I am a new convert to the church! I was baptized on January 24, 2011. I love being a member and I am so grateful for the blessings I have in my life! I love God, my family, friends & my pets!

Why I am a Mormon

It is really a cute story how I learned about the church. I have a group of friends that are in a band. I met a few of them through my job because at the time we worked together. One night they were performing at this little bar/venue and I was there checking them out. Towards the end of the night, I was saying my goodbye's to everyone and i ended up meeting my new friend Rick, who is a member, too! Rick and I have mutual friends in the band. While we were talking, I mentioned I had to go home because I wanted to get up early the next morning for the church I was going to at the time. He began talking about the Mormon church and I really liked the values he was talking about so I began asking more questions. He invited me to the Institute class he was attending and I decided to go, too! During the class, he got in touch with the missionaries in my branch and the next day, I began meeting with them to learn more. During my lessons, the Missionaries shared how the church began. They discussed the first prophet, Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith had a revelation where an angel directed him to the golden plates, in which he was able to translate in English, therefore, creating a Book of Mormon. I love the history of this church and it confirms my testimony that the church is true and Joseph Smith was the first prophet. I decided to get baptized on January 24, 2011 and I am so proud of my decision to join the church. I feel like I am part of a family and I love the people I am surrounded by! Everyone sincerely cares about each other and it is a wonderful environment to be part of!

How I live my faith

It is so important to me to make sure I am reading my scriptures daily. I can always tell that I am more focused in my work and everyday life when my spirit is at peace. I am very grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I feel like it has brought me closer to my Heavenly Father and my prayers are so much stronger! I can testify that prayer does work and Heavenly Father does listen, it is the reason why I am here today! Having a new Temple recommend, I try to visit the Temple in my area as much as possible! I love going there to do work for God, it makes me feel like I am closest with him when I am there.
