Hi I'm Jim

I'm a father of four children, live by the beach, love cycling and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most importantly, I am a Dad to 4 wonderful children and husband to the love of my life. I'm not perfect, but I'm trying to be a better person every day. I love cycling near the ocean, swimming with my kids and fixing things -- cars, appliances, etc. I work for a technology company and keep up to date on the latest technologies, especially cell phones and iPads!

Why I am a Mormon

Before I joined the church when I was 14 years old, I remember reading the Bible, probably in Matthew. and having such a peaceful, good feeling when I read about Jesus blessing and teaching people. I had always felt an inward conviction that this earth life wasn't "the end" of life and had a yearning to know what came next. When I first started taking lessons from the missionaries I felt this same peace/good feelings as when I read about Jesus in the bible. It just all "fell into place" for me. The Gospel of Jesus Christ for me is most fully found in our Church. I see people in The Mormon Church trying their best to live, serve and be like Christ.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the youth of our church in coordinating service projects, Boy Scout activities and lessons on Christ. I previously taught the youth (About 15 Juniors in high school) an early morning class on the New Testament from 6.30am-7.30am every morning at our church. I am amazed at the strength or our young people who are motivated to actually wake up before 6am to get to this class AND participate in their various school, athletic and advanced classes.
