Hi I'm Gordon

I've been in prison for over 22 years, I work there I am married with 5 kids. I like sports and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always enjoyed sports, goofing off, and spending time with my family. I am a lifetime member of the Church, but learn more about it every day. I live in Thatcher, Arizona and have enjoyed raising my family here. I am so happy we recently had the Gila Valley Temple buily here. We can see it from our front porch! I married my High School sweetheart Lisa in 1986 and we have 5 children. I cannot wait to enjoy some grandchildren hopefully soon! I have worked in corrections for over 22 years, and look forward to being parolled (retired) in a few years.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born in the church, I was raised in a broken home. It took me a while to embrace the doctrine of the church and fully understand what the Church is. I cannot comprehend what my life would be like without a testimony of the plan of salvation and the peace of mind it brings. I am so grateful for a living Prophet, and the peace that knowledge brings into my life. Seeing the world deteriorate around me is much less troublesome, knowing that no matter what happens, the Lord is in charge and that nothing really matters except living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I appreciate being entrusted with the Priesthood of God, and being able to represent him on a moments notice. I am so grateful for my testimony of the restored Gospel, and how the atonement of Christ applies to me.

How I live my faith

I am active in my ward. I have served as a missionary, Sunday School teacher, Quorom President, Soutmaster, High Priest group leadership and currently on the Thatcher Stake High Council, and teach Gospel Doctrine classes. I have been very involved in the Boy Scouts, and enjoy working with the youth.
