Hi I'm Brock

I love to travel, From a family of 8, Very athletic, I have lived in -37 Fahrenheit where I taught about Christ! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Provo, Utah most of my life. I am almost done with my degree in Business Management at Utah Valley University. I am hoping to travel often when I am done with my education. I am a very active person I love playing and watching most sports, my two favorite sports are Basketball and Soccer. I have lived in México with a wonderful family there, so I say I am part Hispanic and consider it my third home. I love the Hispanic culture food, language, hospitality and love towards others, they just dance a little too much. My second home is Alaska where I served my mission, they are some great people there and nice too if you start the conversation, by the way they are two times bigger than Texas and then some. I like to laugh and joke around a bunch, quite a bit more than my parents do, but that is common for most kids. I like making people laugh and am pretty good at it, luckily not good enough to get paid. I love to learn but yet school is not my best area for sure. I like to get to know people and learn more about them and where they are in life and how they got there.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know the truth of our doctrine for myself through prayer and scripture study. For these are the best ways to know our Savior Jesus Christ, we also have a great example of a living Prophet in our day right now. For we need his guidance just like the people in the scriptures did and Heavenly Father loves us just as much as he did those old people in the scriptures so he does guide us with a Prophet now in our modern technological days as well. Being Mormon is a way of life, you can't be very active as a Mormon and not refer to it often because it is in all you do and are! Your choices, your actions, and the way you should treat other people as well as yourself. Now Mormons is just a nick-name since it is really called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but that is a mouthful. Only if you practice it for a while can you say it really fast and still pronounce it really well so people can understand you, it definitely gets harder in other languages because we are a world known Church. So if you have never heard about us you better keep up and get yourself informed.

How I live my faith

I try to treat people in a way that I would want to be treated and how Christ would treat you if he were here on this earth. I am not always that best at this since I can be busy with life in general. I love to serve people, it is a great feeling. We do not have a symbol for our religion so we must do our best to think of Christ always and how he treated everyone around him. I am grateful for all that I have for I know that Heavenly Father truly blesses me every day of my life. I have been through some really hard times in my life, and I am my hardest critic ever, luckily I know that Jesus Christ will be our judge and he is merciful to me as well as everyone else. I attend church every Sunday and live the a chaste life before marriage and being faithful to her. I do not smoke, drink or do any sort of drug and treat my body well and keep it healthy for it is an important gift given to us.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Brock
There is a purpose to this life, it isn't just some random happenstance that we are here on this earth Alma 3432 . We all chose to come down to this earth to receive a body of flesh and blood, to enjoy life but to also fulfill our purposes. 2 Nephi 222-25This body is a time to prove ourselves and to learn and grow to choose to follow the things that God or our Heavenly Father Ephesians 610-13 has and will continue to tell us so that we can go back to live with him after this life 2 Corinthians 56-10. This time on earth is only part of the the whole picture that we can't see and don't fully understand. So we need to make those correct decisions Joshua 2415-16 to follow his commandments and be nice people to all of those around us. There I have answered your questions in my own words, and I have added the scriptures so that you may go and look for yourselves. There are some in the Old Testament, New Testament and some even in the Book of Mormon which is another set up scriptures that matches up with the Bible, but is set here in the Americas.
