Hi I'm Steven.

I'm from North Carolina. I'm a dentist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married 4 years now, and I love my wife. We met while we were in graduate school--but we were going to rival schools. We've just welcomed our first child, Lindsay, and I love being a dad. I enjoy sports, photography, the outdoors, and almost anything competitive. I love being a dentist and usually love interacting with my patients. Although managing a dental office can be tough at times, I enjoy the challenge and find it really rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a faithful Latter-day Saint household, for which I feel very blessed. My testimony did not come suddenly; but gradually, over the course of years and even decades, I have felt my faith and devotion to Jesus Christ solidify and deepen. My testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is centered in the Book of Mormon--especially when I read its teachings of Christ. That book of scripture also helps me better understand God's dealings with His children: His existence as our Father, the role of Christ as His Son and our Savior, and the teaching of His gospel through prophets and apostles throughout time and even today. I am grateful for the knowledge I have; both what I have been taught by virtuous parents and what I have learned through my own study and prayer. I try to recognize the Lord's influence on me and my surroundings, and I'm humbled by the thought of His concern for my welfare.

How I live my faith

In my congregation, I work with the youth and teach their Sunday School lessons each week. My goal is to teach them to know who they are, to realize their potential, and recognize the happiness which comes by following the principles of Christ's gospel. Outside of my church responsibilities, I try to do all I can to act as Christ would want. I think one of the best ways to show the Light of Christ is to be energetic, happy, and kind in my interactions with others. By striving to follow the gospel, I am trying to stay worthy of the Holy Ghost, and by so doing be guided by Him in my actions.
