Hi I'm Krista

I'm a wife and mother who loves sports and looks forward to what the future brings for me and my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Krista and I grew up in Arizona. I have always had a passion for sports. More specifically I played volleyball from 7th grade through college. This has given me the opportunity to meet great people and it taught me to work hard to accomplish my goals. I graduated with my bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology. I then went onto work in the banking industry for 3 years. While at school in Colorado I met my husband through a mutual friend. We have now been happily married for 4 years and have a wonderful baby boy. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my son, being active, watching movies, and serving others. I love being a mother to a great son and a wife to a wonderful husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Catholic Church and was very active my entire life. I was introduced to the church through friends and my now husband. After dating my husband for a while I decided to take on the challenge to find out for myself what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was really about. I did this by reading the Book of Mormon, praying, going to church, and taking missionary discussions. I was 21 when I started investigating the Church. I would leave missionary discussion with a gleaming smile on my face. My heart was full when I would read the Book of Mormon and learn of the Gospel teachings. I knew it was true. There was just no way it couldn't be. My conversion took a little longer because I struggled with leaving the Catholic Church that I loved so much. I still respect all religions but through many prayers I received the answer I should be baptized. It took me about 6 months to come to this decision. My baptism was filled with lots of smiles and it was one of the happiest moments of my life. Ever since then I have received so many blessing and love going to church, studying with my family, and living the principles of the Gospel. It has brought me so much joy and happiness and I thank God everyday for introducing me to this wonderful religion.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is such a big part of my life and plays a role in my actions and daily activities. Since converting to the Church I have served others around me by teaching the younger children, putting on activities for the community, and teaching high school aged girls. Schooling has taken us to different states and we have moved 5 times in the last 3 and a half years. People in our area at church have always been welcoming and helpful with moving. I have been able to make lifelong friends who are truly wonderful people through Church.
