Hi I'm Frank

I have the greatest life possible, married 32 years, 6 children, 10 grand children and a couple of friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father of six and grandfather of 10. I enjoy telling stories, walking and hearing people laugh. One of the things I like to do most is give kids sugar and then send them off to their parents.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors on both sides of my family came into the Salt Lake Valley with Brigham Young. Their examples of sacrifice helped me to realize that I should take this religion seriously. Why would my ancestors leave New England and travel across the country to a desert? Have you seen New England, it is beautiful. Obviously they didn't know where they were going, but they believed that where ever they were going it was to help build the Lord's Kingdom. Growing up I found that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints made people better. It provided teachings and programs to strengthen the family and community. This Church has given me opportunities help my neighbors and strangers. I have found that this religion gives me the opportunity to serve my fellow man. I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is learned by providing service to others.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the leader of the local ward, or Bishop. As a Bishop I am responsible for making sure no one goes hungry in our ward. With the help of the members I am made aware of needs in the area. Over the past few years we have been able to help people with mortgage payments, food assistance, utility payments and marriage and family counseling. The generosity of the local members have allowed us to purchase a car for a single mother that needed transportation. I am also a member of the city economic development council. In this council we help develop policy that will improve the city by bringing in new jobs and making the city a better place to conduct business.
