Hi I'm Katelyn

I'm a singer to the radio with the windows down, an adventurer in the great outdoors, a reader of good books, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for the church and will continue doing so for the next 9 months! Although it has been and continues to be THE hardest thing I have ever done I am loving the experience of sharing my beliefs with others! I love being outdoors, playing sports and reading anything I can get my hands on. Family and friends are definitely the center of everything I do. I believe in living life to the fullest and always looking at the positive because as my mom always says we only live once. :)

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into the church has its perks but it still requires the effort of actually gaining your own testimony. My family moved around a lot during my youth giving me opportunities to experience a variety of different situations from heavily populated LDS communities to being the only active member in my graduating class. I can't tell you an exact moment when i knew that what I had been taught growing up was true but I do know that as I prayed, asking Heavenly Father if what I was reading in the Book of Mormon was from Him that I got a feeling unlike any other I had previously experienced. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. I know that He desires our happiness more than anything and that as we sincerely seek Him, He will reveal His truth to us.

How I live my faith

Serving a mission means being constantly on the move and talking to everyone you meet along the way. It means that I am an official representative of the church, putting my life on hold for 18 months to proclaim the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that the message I carry will bring a peace and a happiness to the lives of those I talk to that is not found in the world today. Not only do I knock on doors and teach anyone that will listen but I also serve at one of the visitors' centers of the church. It is such an incredible experience to testify of a living prophet today and how much our Heavenly Father turly loves us to those who are curious and willing to learn more.
