Hi I'm Leslie

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in an LDS family with seven siblings. I live in Colorado with my husband and four children.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of four busy children. I am a homemaker, so that I can be available to my kids whenever they need me. I enjoy reading, shopping, going to movies, watching sports, and traveling. I love to watch my kids participate in various sports and activities, and I love going on dates with my husband! I went to college in Provo, Utah at Brigham Young University and graduated in Health Education. I try to use my education to help me be a better wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born parents who were active members in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was taught from the time I was born that I am a child of God, and that we have a loving Heavenly Father who watches over us and gives us guidance as we seek his help through prayer. I have felt His guidance in my life through the various trials I have had to go through. I also learned and have come to know that families are forever. I am especially grateful for this knowledge. I lost a husband to brain cancer several years ago. I had 3 small children at the time. I do not know how I would have made it through this difficult time, if I had not felt the love of my Heavenly Father. I was so grateful to know that I had married my husband in the house of the Lord (the temple) where we were sealed as a couple and as a family forever. I know that we will be reunited as a family someday. I know that Heavenly Father takes care of me. He provided me with another wonderful man to raise my family with. We now have four children who bring us great joy and happiness. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is Christ's church on the earth. Following it's teachings brings me joy and happiness I could not otherwise know here on earth. I know we have a living prophet who leads and guides this church, and I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know these things because I have followed the teachings of our prophets. I have read and studied the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and the other scriptures. I have prayed to know if they are true. Heavenly Father has answered my prayers. I have felt the holy spirit whisper to me of their truth, and I have felt the love of God in my life as I have recognized how He has guided and directed me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching my children about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost. Weekly, our family gets together and learns about the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a special time our family sets aside each week. We also gather nightly to read from the scriptures together. We pray together in the morning, at meal time and in the evening. I also spend time each morning when I wake up studying the words of our living prophets and reading from the Book of Mormon and other scriptures. I pray each morning and evening. These precious moments to study help build my faith in Jesus Christ. I also serve in my church as a leader in our women's organization. As I do this, I have the opportunity to serve and help other women come to know and love Jesus Christ, and help them become better wives and mothers. We are able to support each other through difficult times by providing meals, watching kids, and listening and being friends with one another. I am grateful to have the opportunity to love and serve these women.
