Hi I'm Marilyn

I'm a Mormon. A 5th generation Mormon. I have had wonderful examples of family before me who had blessings of Church Membership.

About Me

I am a daughter of God, have been a wife for fifty three years, and have four sons and four daughters. I loved being at home with my children watching them grow and develop into wonderful human beings. Now I get to watch grandchildren and great grandchildren follow in their parents footsteps. I appreciate all the beautiful creations of God which are all about us. Love being in nature. I love beautiful music and well written books. I love live theatre, but have been saddened by the "garbage language" that is now a part of it. I am concerned about the decline of moral values in our society, and long for the "Second Coming" of the Savior!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church and had the opportunity to watch how activity in the Church Organization blessed the lives of people and family around me. I appreciated the programs of the Church and feel they helped me develop into a well rounded individual. I have received a personal witness from the Holy Spirit that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints is Gods true Church on the earth. I have experienced great peace and joy with the knowledge that there is a purpose to life. I do not fear death or the death of a loved one (even though it would be difficult), because I know there is a life after this one.

How I live my faith

I have appreciated the opportunities to learn teaching and leadership skills through the Church Organization. I have taught classes for women, youth and children. Attendance to Church services each week has been a blessing in my life. Having the opportunity to visit and worship in our Holy Temples means more to me than words can describe. I feel the monthly home visits to women in our congregation is also a blessing in my life. I appreciate the sweet woman who visits me each month. She has lifted my spirit when I am feeling down or discouraged. The Bible and Book of Mormon are a daily part of my scripture study and I have found that answers to all of life's questions can be found in those books.
