Hi I'm Chuck

My passions include all things to do with my family and helping others through education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The best part me is being a husband and father. It makes me a better person and I love it. Once you know that about me, you know why my hobbies and interest connect me with my family. I try to keep my life balanced and simple with work and play. I'd put my LDS faith in the mix of that balance, but I consider my love for God and His great plan to be the core and purpose of all else. I love life and all that it offers.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I found the truth contained in its beliefs at the young age of 18. It was then that I needed to decide for myself whether what was taught in the LDS faith was something I was going to live. The process was simple really...I picked up a copy of the Book of Mormon and read. After completing most of the book and having finished reading for the night, I decided to kneel and pray to my Heavenly Father. I didn't ask Him if what I was reading was true, but just thanked Him for the book. I held it close and prayed. It was then that my entire physical and spiritual body was filled with the love and assurance of what I was reading and what it stood for was divinely provided by God. Since that experience, I have had similar reaffirmations too many times to number. What a comfort it is to know the truth and what God's plan is about. It's the guidance that helps ground me and my family in knowing our direction each and every day. It's what bonds us as a family and gives us the courage to live each day with faith and an understanding that this life is but a short moment in time, and we will live together forever.

How I live my faith

My faith is lived out each and every day through my actions. It's not something I put on the shelf. It's core to who I am. I love serving others and helping them through their physical and spiritual trials. Our church is our extended family. We worship together, mourn together and play together. We spend time caring for one another. We've lived in numerous states and cities, and what a comfort it is to know that wherever we live, we'll find that same type of church family waiting and actively engaged in living life to its fullness.
