Hi I'm Jacob Hwkins

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Orlando Florida, attend college in Utah and upon receiving my MBA pursued a career in Commercial Real Estate in Denver Colorado. My wife and I were married in 2005 and now have 2 amazing and wonderful boys. I served a church mission for 2 years in San Antonio Texas. I enjoy sporting events, spending time with my family, and playing golf.

Why I am a Mormon

Since the day I was born I have been actively involved in this Church. As a boy my family attend Sunday services every week. While attending college as a 18 year old there came a time when I needed to know for myself that attending this church was the right thing to do. I diligently studied the Scriptures and prayed fervently to God that I might gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel. Answers to those prayers along with a lifetime of experiences has led me to my personal conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I enjoy having the opportunity to live my faith every day in the manner in which I conduct my life. While at home with my family, at work with partners and colleagues, or serving in Church capacities I strive to living the teachings of Christ and tenants of the gospel. Within the local congregation I have accepted a service position that allows me to work within the structure of both the Church and Boy Scout program. Teaching and working with these young men brings me great joy. In addition, each month I have the opportunity to visit a family in our congregation in order to teach a spiritual message, visit with them to strengthen friendships, and serve the family when needed. As a family we have dedicated one night a week to spend with each other as we play games, teach our children, and strengthen our family relationships.
