Hi I'm Daniela

2 strange young men,a tag on their coats “Elder.” They did not look old to me! Curiosily I asked who they were. I became a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in Italy, precisely on a big volcanic island called Sardinia, which is located eight hours west of the coast of Rome, just beneath the Corsica Island. A beautiful place to live surround by a marvelous Mediterranean sea. I grew up in the catholic faith, I have always loved the Lord and many times as a young girl in the evening I would go to my neighborhood church and light a candle in front of a big statue of Mary and the baby Jesus to ask for their help, to keep me safe and on the narrow path…until one day, at age 19 I meet the missionaries and then my life changed radically. I am an artist and graduated in classical and visual arts from an Italian art school. I love animals and work at the local animal shelter. I love my job. I am married and have a wonderful husband and 4 children. I love life and love to laugh. I serve in my Ward in the relief society organization, and I am blessed by the Lord as He has surrounded me with sisters in the ward that love their God and serve with all their hearts.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the divinity the book of Mormon. I know that its primary purpose is to testify of the divinity of Jesus Christ, and also testify that God will keep His covenants with his children. The prophet Mormon, one of the prophets of this book, is the one who abridged the records contained in it, and this is why the book is called “The book of Mormon.” This book is centered upon the Lord and His mission and ministry. That’s why the Savior Himself declared that the Book of Mormon contains “the fullness of His everlasting gospel.” Joseph Smith declared the Book of Mormon to be “the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion.” It is the only book that the Lord Himself has testified to be true. The Book of Mormon is a gift from our Heavenly Father to all of us. The Lord invites all “to come unto Him and partake of His goodness,” and He denies “none that come unto him.” If we read the Book of Mormon with sincerity of heart, it will bring us closer to the Lord. “He, who fed a multitude with five loaves and two fishes. He who helped the blind to see and the lame to walk can also bless us!” He has promised that those who live by the precepts of this book shall receive a crown of eternal life. It’s just not enough to believe in Christ, we must believe Christ when He says that He can save us.

How I live my faith

I serve in my Ward as the relief society president. The sisters whom I work with are simply wonderful and loving; a true example of what a disciple of Jesus Christ would be. We organize monthly weekly meetings where at times we get together to realize a service project for those who are in need, for example, the elderly, the poor, the sick. At times we get together to just enjoy each other company and learn new things at the same times. We invite our friends to these meetings and they are welcomed by everyone with love and kindness. The church is true and the Lord's presence is felt in every act of kindness, in every effort made to help each other, to lift each other's burdens.
