Hi I'm Curtis Moffett

I love soccer, a good run, and outdoor adventures. I'm a Cadet in the Air Force ROTC. Yup, you're right, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the 3rd of 5 children in my family and I'm L.O.U.D.! L=Loving O=Outgoing U=Understanding D= Delightful. Delightful Whether it's raining or blistering hot I love being outdoors. I am usually gazing at the sky looking for planes. I have a strong passion that makes we want to be around. Being a pilot has been my life’s dream along with having a family. I love viewing God's creations and spending time with loved ones. Family is the most important to me. Without them I would have very little. I am so grateful for my parents and I look forward to one day being a husband and a father with children to call my own!

Why I am a Mormon

It was not until I read the Book of Mormon with an open heart and a desire to follow the answer I received that I came to know it was true. I prayed time after time and waiting for God to an answer my prayers. Every time as I knelt down the only thing I heard was silence, the silence of an empty room. I asked myself each time I read, "How will I know this is true?" I thought I had not yet received an answer but I still continued to read and attend church. I realized I had the answer all along! It wasn’t until I finally looked back on the time I had begun reading the Book of Mormon and compared it to where I stood at that moment. It was then that I noticed my life had begun to change for the better. I realized every time I read that book I felt good inside. Every time I went to church I felt uplifted. I knew that this was my answer. I continue to attend the 'Latter-Day Faith' because I continue to read the Book of Mormon and continue see good things happen in my life. I know for myself that it is true. By reading the Book of Mormon I have had a great peace come into my life. I know that the Book of Mormon is Holy Scripture just as is the Bible. Together they outline God's purpose and show us how we can live with him and our families once again in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I spend two years of my life in Cleveland, Ohio (and the surround areas) serving the Lord by being a missionary. During this time we devote all our time and efforts to teaching the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. While I was a missionary I got to see God's hands in our lives and many families grow closer together. I saw lives change and friendships restore themselves. :) It was the best choice of my life. It not only showed me how to live my faith but how to live my life. Now I am a member of the church in a college town. Here I am to go to school and enjoy the blessings of friends. I also take the time to serve where I can when I can. I would not be the person I am today if I did not have this joy in my life. The best part is I know that joy will continue to grow in my life. I want others to taste of this same joy I now have.

What is being a Mormon like?

Curtis Moffett
IT'S WONDERFUL! I know who I am and I know what I stand for. I know my purpose here on earth and I know what is required of me to have true peace and joy in my life. Because of this I feel free to talk openly with my Father in Heaven during prayer. It brings a lasting smile to face! :D Show more Show less
