Hi I'm William

I'm a husban, father of 3 boys, Harley rider, pharmacist and child of God, and yes I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a young father with 3 young boys whom I love more than anything in this world except my wife. I am not the perfect dad but I try and do better every day. After I was married to my wife I began to study pharmacy at the university. Going to school and raising a family was challenging, however with the help of my wife we managed to complete pharmacy school in 7 years. We are now in the years of our life that are the most important, the raising of 3 (and maybe more to come) young men who will be worthy followers of Christ. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since I was 8 years old, However, I have not fully understood the importance of following the example of Christ until the last few years. I now know that the example we set for our children and others around us shows who we are, what we believe, and what is important to us. My family is most important to me, I am trying to find balance between work, entertainment, church callings and family. In doing this I know my family will be blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of my family. Sure I have been exposed to church teaching and principles my whole life thanks to great parents who were good examples, but now that I have children of my own I understand the responsibility I have for the teaching and raising of my own family. All of the teaching that I know and understand of our church always brings families together in love and service. I know that many religions of the world bring family together but Knowing that my family can be together forever through time and eternity. This is why I am a "Mormon". The same priesthood that Christ himself has, has now been restored to the earth as the prophecies of the bible have promised. This authority from Christ himself is the only way eternal families are possible. That is why I am a member of Christ's church in this latter day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by honoring the priesthood I am fortunate enough to have. To do this I have been called to server the lord in a few ways. First is as a father. Thanks to my wife our home is full of love and the spirit. Secondly I serve as a home teacher. For those not familiar with the church, home teachers are worthy men who serve individual families. My home teaching partners and I have 3 families that we home teach. I have grown closer to these families as I have served them. I know them well and would be willing to serve them in any way they would like. I enjoy seeing them and their families grow closer to Christ. My third calling is our elders quorum 2nd counselor. I have had this calling for about 3 months. This is the first time I have served in the elders quorum. The elders quorum typically includes men from 18 years of age up until we become high priests. Most of us have young children and are young fathers. I serve under the direction of our president. I have enjoyed serving with him, the 1st counselor and secretary and look forward to the remaining time we are able to serve. Our responsibilities are to strengthen our quorum members and their families. We find ways to get everyone involved. We take time to get to know all the brothers and their families. For those who are struggling we pray and invite and encourage them to grow closer to the lord. We are called to serve them and bring them closer to our savior. Sometimes it is hard to serve and fulfill all of these responsibilities but I know that if I do the lord will bless me. Whenever I sacrifice "my time" I find I am much happier and much more patient at home. I also have the opportunity to work as a pharmacist in my community. This allow me to serve all those that are in need. I try to live like Christ and set an example as I work, treating everyone with kindness and understanding.
