Hi I'm Jared

I have lived in California my whole life and I'm about to spend two years in Peru for my church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a unique guy who tries to find humor in everything. People say my laugh is infectious. I just graduated from college with a degree in Microbiology and found that science and religion can mix very well in my life. I'm going to go on a mission to Peru and will have to learn Spanish to help people learn about my church. When I get back, I'm not sure what job I want to have, but I do know that I want to get married in the temple, have lots of children, and live near my family. That's what's important to me and that's what I'm working towards. I put trust in my Heavenly Father when I make decisions and I know that as long as I am doing what I need to be doing, He will help me along.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church, but for a long time I did not know for myself that it was true. It took me a while to finally do the things I needed to do: read the Book of Mormon, pray everyday, and follow the direction of the Prophets and I began to see the blessings in my life. I'm a Mormon because I love the happiness in my life that comes from going to church, the wonderful people I get to associate with, and the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. I'm so grateful to have this knowledge of truth in my life and am eager to have the opportunity to share it with others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith mainly through my example. My actions reflect my beliefs and my friends and coworkers see it from me. They know I don't use foul language, drink caffeine or alcohol, or watch rated R movies. I spend my time at church classes and activities learning more about the things I need to be doing and having fun. Many times I participate in service activities that benefit others in the church or the community. I always try to "Choose the Right" in making wise decisions and follow the example set forth by my Savior Jesus Christ.
