Hi I'm Tom

I am married, have four children and four wonderful grandchildren. I am a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in Northern Utah. I moved to Memphis, Tennessee after college for employment and then three years later moved to the midwest where I have lived for the last 37 years. I love the midwest and deeply appreciate the giving nature of the people. I have enjoyed being involved in many community, school and church activities. I have been in the financial services profession for 37years.

Why I am a Mormon

Over the years I have been involved in numerous personal development program, have attended many seminars and workshops designed to help me be a better person, a better father, a better husband and to improve my professional standing. Although most have been helpful nothing has helped me achieve my personal goal of "leaving the world a better place than I found it" like the gospel of Jesus Christ. Once I committed to doing my best to live the principles of the gospel my person and professional life began to improve. I know that as I strive to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and to serve others I will be given all that I need and more. I know that Christ lives and following him can change your life - it has changed mine.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the branch presidency of an urban branch of the church. What a blessing it is to work with humble saints that love the Lord and are working hard to embrace the gospel. I have previously worked with our Young Single Adult congregation and served on the Stake (area leadership council). My church service has allowed me to expand my understanding of the gospel and hopefully help others along the way. I know Christ lives and as we try to follow his example we will be blessed beyond measure in this life and the next. Over the years I have been involved in a number of community organizations. I have served on the boards of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Midlands, Millard Athletic Association, NAIFA Nebraska Foundation, Millard West Boosters Club, Cox Classic Golf Tournament (we raise funds for community organizations), Millard Public Schools Foundation, Voluntary Action Center, Millard Schools Strategic Planning Committee, Jaycees and Millard Rotary. This service has given me a great opportunity to understand the needs and opportunities of our great community. As members we are encouraged to be involved in our communities. Serving on a variety of community boards has given me great satisfaction and hopefully helped the organizations and those they serve along the way.
