Hi I'm Rebecca

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I'm a mother of five. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have five children, one boy and four girls. I love spending time with my family. We enjoy going to the nearby mountains for hikes and picnics. We love music and family movies. I also enjoy gardening, crafts, baking and cooking. I love making jellies, jams and syrups, and have recently started dehydrating foods. I am trying to learn to grow fresh fruits and vegetables in our harsh climate. It is a fun challenge. I work as a secretary for the LDS Institute of Religion in our town. It is a joy to work with the college students. I love going to work every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was baptized when I was eight, and have had a testimony as long as I can remember. The Gospel has always made sense to me. It has always seemed logical. My testimony has been strengthened throughout the years by life experiences. Heavenly Father has answered my prayers on so many occasions. I know that he will always help me through my trials. I see His hand in my life every day. When I was young, I never imagined living where I do or having the experiences I have had, but looking back I can see that He has guided me. I am where I am supposed to be.

How I live my faith

Being a mom, I have spent time volunteering at my childrens' schools. I also try to support them in their activities by volunteering in any way I can. I believe that raising righteous children is one of my most important responsibilities. At church, I help the childrens' classes learn the Gospel through music. I teach them songs about various gospel subjects with different activities and games. In the past I have played both the organ and piano for church meetings. I've also been the president of the women's organization. I still love getting together with the ladies from church and spending time with them. They are an inspiration to me, and help me to be a better person. I recently was the teacher for the Nursery (ages 18 months - 3 years). I loved it!
