Hi I'm Jared

I'm a mechanical engineer. I love gardening and raising chickens. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mechanical engineer who designs electronics, but I also enjoy nature. My hobbies are gardening, planting trees and raising animals. My wife and I have been married for 8 years though we are unable to have children of our own we look forward to filling our home with adopted children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but that is not why I am still a member. It is a choice I make each day. Fundamentally I accept Christ as my Savior and desire to serve Him. It was through service in this Church that I have come to know it is the true Church of Christ. The more I serve the more I know it. I can see the hand of God directing His Church. I can see the inspired organization working through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. We have imperfect people willingly sacrificing their time and talents and accomplishing great miracles because God's hand is directing this work. I have personally felt God inspiring me as I serve others and I have seen the way it blesses the lives of others. It is though service that I have come to know Christ and that this is His Church and His work.

How I live my faith

I live by faith by sacrificing my time and energy in the service of others in the Church, in my community and neighborhood. This takes faith as there is always something else I could be doing with my time, but I am constantly amazed at the way God can use my service to bless the lives of those around me. I have literally seen miracles happen. Words cannot describe the pure joy I feel when I think that God the creator of the heavens and the earth knows my name. He knows and cares about my needs and He helps me fulfill the needs of others.
