Hi I'm Bob

I am the eldest of 9 children, father of 4 and grandfather of 2. I have lived in many parts of the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from High School in Utah. As a young man, I learned to work from my father, who was a masonry contractor. I worked as a laborer as well as a brick and stone mason. I obtained a BS and an MBA. I served my country in the US Air Force as a Missle Launch Officer in Montana. I have lived and worked in many locations like: Utah, Arizona, California, Montana, New York, England, and now in Colorado. I have volunteered in communities I have lived in as Scoutmaster, Scout Unit Commissioner, Credit Union volunteer, commissioner in my community, and a handyman in my neighborhood. I have served a Mission for the LDS Church in Ireland, as a Bishop, Sunday School teacher, and many leadership roles in scouting and working with Young Men and the youth of the Church. I like to ski, work on home improvement projects and visit my grandchildren. My wfe and I have been happily married sine 1975. We have 2 sons and 2 daughters. Our faith has been the glue that holds our family together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to loving parents who were also members of the LDS Church. They taught me the guiding principles and values I have treasured throughout my life. As a youth, in my teen years, I struggled to accept the things I had been taught. It was not until I took the time to read and study the Book of Mormon on my own that I found myself feeling my heart being touched by a profound spirit that changed my life. I came to understand the love God has for his children and how the commandments he has given us are designed to bless us as individuals and families. I understand that family is the most important part of my life. I treasure the stories of my pioneer forefathers.

How I live my faith

In my roles as father, brother, neighbor, friend, employee, manager, and leader, I believe that my most important responsibility is to teach. I teach by example and by sharing experiences, both good and bad, that have been instructive for me. I am grateful for prophets who recorded inspired scripture for the benefit of God's children. I have avoided many personal mistakes by understanding the consequences others have suffered because of their actions. I am inspired and uplifted by stories and experiences of these inspired leaders. I have come to know and love Jesus Christ as my personal saviour and friend. I strive to follow His example in my life. I try to live by the teachings of the parable of the Sheep and Goats in Matthew 25: 31- 46. To me, this parable emphasizes the importance of having charity towards all of God's children, my brothers and sisters.
