Hi I'm Jon

I'm a Mormon. I have a beautiful family with my wife and four children. We love to spend time in the outdoors.

About Me

I'm a father of four children. I have one boy and three girls. I like to run, camp, hike, bike and do various of activities outdoors. I enjoy golfing, volleyball, and basketball. I work for as a salesman for a company that makes instrumentation.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by two faithful parents who love the Lord. I was taught to understand right and wrong, the importance of hard work, and how to make my own decisions. As progressed through my teenage years, I gained a desire to really understand if Jesus Christ was a Savior and if He really could atone for my sins. As I studied the book of Mormon and the Bible and began to really pray to God, I came to know and feel that Jesus was my personal Savior and that He died for my sins as well as the sins of the world. During this same time, I studied and prayed intently about the Book of Mormon and I've come to know from God that it is holy scripture and contains the word of God. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as provided me direction and has brought me closer to my Savior Jesus Christ. I am very greatful to be a membe of this church.

How I live my faith

I attend Sunday services once a week. This church gives me various opportunities for me to serve. We are encouraged to provide comminity service as wells perform simple acts of kindness for my neighbors and others that I associate with. In the past, I've been able to participate I a monthly service project, which we called "Service Saturday." Once a month on a Saturday, several members of our local chuch would gather and complete a list of projects for others that are in need. This may include mowing someone's lawn, weeding, or working on someones house. The service aspect of my church is onething that I've really loved. Sometimes, I'm asked to teach a Sunday lesson or give a speach. I've also been asked to hometeach, which is an assignment to visit and befriend some members of our local congragation.
