Hi I'm Jake

I'm a sports fanatic, technology embracer, businessman, and a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent college graduate that is starting a career in Corporate America. I am the son of a career military man, and have never lived in one State for more than 3 years. I speak fluent Chinese. I enjoy international business, and work in the supply chain industry for a retail company. I love living my life with my best friend, who I have been happily married to for two years now. We enjoy biking, hiking, water sports, board games, movies, rollerblading, going to baseball games and almost any other activity.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up with two loving parents who also share my same beliefs, they made it very clear to me early in my life that it was my choice to live the way I do. Starting from an early age, I sought truth through study and prayer. Considering the doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it was logical for me to find my purpose in this life, and the pattern I wanted to follow for the rest of my life. But more importantly, I found answers through my own choices, and through the power of the Spirit. Because of many eye-opening, heart-felt, and unforgettable spiritual experiences, I know that the Lord made manifest to me his truths. I know that the Mormon church, or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was an answer to my prayers, and has been a guiding influence in my life thus far, and will continue to lead me in the future.

How I live my faith

Although I have many shortcomings, I try to live my faith by emulating the Savior and his example. I regularly attend church, and help those in my community and ward through service. I regularly serve with the youth in our church and help admin activities for their development. Outside of my church calling, I try to regularly study Christ's teachings and ponder their meaning in my life. I know I have many things to learn still in the life and try not to get overwhelmed, but take things one at a time. Also, I try to be a good friend and neighbor and enjoy playing sports with my co-workers.
