Hi I'm Anne

I'm a grandmother, a wife, a nurse. I like to garden, read and travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother, wife, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. My working life has been as a nurse and a health care administrator. My volunteer life has been involved with children, youth, music and community. As I look back on my life, I wouldn't change a thing. I have been richly blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church just after college when I was 24. I had spent my college years looking into different religions, but was agnostic at the time of my introduction to the church. I met several women who became good friends. Both were relatively new converts to the church. They had a confidence in their faith that caused me to question my own beliefs. What if I was wrong? What if there is a God? What if He could hear me? One night, overcome with some personal problems, I knelt down and asked God if He was there. I received an answer that could not be denied. After that, one of my friends gave me a Book of Mormon. As promised in Moroni 10, when I knelt and asked if this book was true, I again received an answer that I could not deny. Thirty-five years later, I have the confidence in my faith that I envied in my friends. I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I pray each day to refine myself, to have more Christ-like characteristics. Some days that works, some days it doesn't and at the end of the day, I apologize to the Lord and whoever else I have been short-tempered with and vow to try again the next day. As I look over three and a half decades of discipleship in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I can see that I am making progress towards my goal of becoming like Christ in love, patience, acceptance, and service.
