Hi I'm Rick

I'm a Mormon.I have been a church member for more than 30 years. I was baptized as a young Marine Corps Officer

About Me

I am now a retired Marine Corps officer. I have have my own financial services business. I have been privilaged to serve in many church capacities that have helped me develop my testimoney about many beliefs the church has. I have been blessed as I have followed the counsel given. The law of health we follow has helped me overcome the use of tobacco and caffine. I try to follow this law as closely as I can, in turn I enjoy tremendous health for someone my age. I have found that following these commandments that my life is simple to live. I have also come to know that these are not restrictions, but are rather liberating I know that I am blessed by doing my best to adhere to these laws of life. I certainly am not perfect at keeping all of them but I do my best everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

As I already indicated, I joined the Church many years ago. I was not looking for a church to join, in fact I was not really very religious at all. I did have a notion of who God was, but I had no real understanding of Him nor did I have a relationship with Him, or so I thought. Missionaries from the church came to visit me pretty regularly and I knew that some how I knew one of these men eventhough I had never met either of them before. As I continued to learn more, I had a desire to become a part of this wonderful church of people who were genuinely caring and trustworthy. I love this church and everything it claims to be. I have a knowledge that it is true, all of it! As I review my life from time to time I have found that God has watched over me eventhough I really didn't know Him.

How I live my faith

Every memeber must do his or her part. This is a lay church and we make a commitment when we join that we will share the burdens of others that they may be light. My service for the past 10 years has been in leadership capacity. I get no paycheck from the church for the many hours I spend helping others. Whoever is reviewing this information may I make it clear this is not a Sunday church. We live it day to day and we may be called on to serve anywhere anytime.
