Hi I'm Marsha

I live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I'm an accountant and a wife and a mom and a step mom and now a grandma. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We love to hike and camp - anything that allows us to get out of the city and enjoying the marvelous Rocky Mountains. And I love baseball! We also like to play board games and card games with our families. We are a blended family. I have two awesome boys and my husband gave me two beautiful step daughters. Two years ago our family grew by one sweet and adorable daughter in law, and this year we welcomed our first grandchild - a perfect and wonderful grandson. Although our family is spread out, we relish every opportunity that we can get together. We enjoy gardening and plant quite an extensive vegetable garden each year. I am always in awe of this earth and the creations that are here, and the amazing way that it all works together. I work in accounting in a Senior Living Community. I enjoy what I do, and I work with really great people. Both my husband and I grew up in the great midwest but now we agree that we live here, near the Rockies by choice. We believe in lots of laughter and love in our house.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church later in life, thanks to my husband. We met, we were both divorced, and started dating. He simply wanted me to understand why he loved his church and the gospel so much and why it was so important to him. What I found were answers to a whole lot of questions I'd had all my life, questions that I had asked my spiritual leaders when I was growing up and as a young adult. No one had ever been able to give me answers that made sense or that I could understand. But a couple of great missionaries agreed to teach me, and their answer was "look it up, it is in the scriptures". And the more I read the more I found all the answers to all the questions I had ever had. It all made sense. And for the first time in my life I gained a very real and very personal relationship with God the Father, and with my Savior Jesus Christ. My life is more fulfiling, sweeter, more peaceful than I ever could have imagined life to be. And I like it that way.

How I live my faith

I believe we all need to be actively engaged in whatever we do in this life. I believe in being actively involved in our country, and what is happening, and doing our part to try to make it the best possible place for us and our children and our grandchildren to live. One of my passions is preparedness, and I try to share what I have learned with others who are interested. And I believe the best way to share our love of our Father in Heaven is to serve those around us. I feel pretty inadequate most of the time but I try to help any one I can and in any way I can. I use to be pretty hard on myself and pretty judgemental of others in a very negative way. But now I approach life and people with love and laugher and always with the benefit of the doubt. And life is much sweeter this way. And I love to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. It has brought me so much happiness, I recognize it as a tremendous gift that I've been given, and I want so much to give that gift to others if they want it. I know that we are all at different places in our lives and have different needs, but if someone needs the comfort and peace of a personal and loving relationship with God, I hope I can help them find that just as I did.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Marsha
I know that we can be together after this life, in eternity, as husband and wife and as a family. I know that it is what Heavenly Father intended for us. And I am very grateful that He has made that possible for us. I love my husband, my children, my parents, my sister...and I want to be able to be with them forever. I know that families play a very important role in the things we need to learn and experience in this life to help prepare us for the joy and life that our Father has for us in eternity. I know that not everyone is blessed with a great or perfect family in this lifetime, but that is the great thing about understanding our Heavenly Father's plan. That family is not just the people we were born to, or grew up with, or share bloodlines with - it is the family we choose, we create, it is the people around us who love us and support us, and that we love and support. Family is so much more than our immediate family, it is being a child of God, and understanding that we are His family, and that he loves each of us. Show more Show less
