Hi I'm Arianne

I'm a missionary in the New Jersey, Morristown Mission. I love music. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I guess you could say I'm a classic redhead... outgoing, silly, and passionate about life. I love learning new things. I have been involved in music since before I could talk--playing piano for over 14 years and singing since before I can remember. Singing and playing the piano are what I do most often to get away from the world. I am the oldest and only girl in my family (except for my mom) with three younger brothers. And oh how I love my family! I enjoy everything from wrestling and rough housing with my brothers and spending time talking and hanging out in nature with my dad to watching Jane Austen movies with my mom on a Saturday night. I'm currently majoring in Elementary Education with two emphasis in Early Childhood Development and Music. I love my major! Children are often the greatest teachers and I'm so excited to start my career within the next 3 years helping influence and build the next generation of intelligent and creative minds. I absoluetely love nature. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are master artists! I have always loved standing and dancing in the rain. I love hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding... just being outside and in the mountains. This earth is so beautiful and I love to go out and enjoy everything in it. Looking at a beatuiful sunrise or sunset is the best thing to remind me that I have a loving Heavenly Father and He is constantly looking out for me.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was little, my family and I moved around a lot, so for the most part, I grew up without friends outside of my family. I was the geeky girl who sat by herself at lunch and played on the swings because no one would let me into their games. I struggled for a long time with self-confidence and self-worth. I suffered trial after trial after trial. But through this Gospel, I have learned that I am not alone. God loves me. I am His daughter and He has given me all the tools and help I need to be happy not only in this life, but to enable me to return and live with Him one day. I've learned that you can speculate all you want, but until you find out the truth for yourself about this church and The Book of Mormon, you won't receive an answer. It takes a sincere heart, real intent, and asking God with faith in Jesus Christ that you will receive an answer. I promise you will. I know because I have experienced it, and I continue to experience the effects and fruits of my efforts every day. Without this Gospel, without God by my side, I would not be the same person I am today. Without this Gospel and the testimony I have now, I would be nothing.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission in the New Jersey! I couldn't be more excited to serve the Lord. My testimony is my most prized possession. I hold it most dear to my heart. I can't think of a better way to share my light and love of Christ than by serving the people in New Jersey. I have the desire, and I have been called of God through His prophet. Words cannot accurately describe the joy that fills my soul every time I study, ponder, and teach the Gospel. I am on the errand of angels. I've been called to the work. I've truly learned from my past to depend on Heavenly Father and trust His timing. He hasn't failed me yet and He never will! I know that without Him I am weak, but with His help and support, I can do all things! (The Book of Mormon, Alma 26: 11-12) But perhaps the biggest and best way I live my faith is by the small and simple decisions I make every day. Having been a single college student, living on my own and away from my family, and now traveling across the country to a place I've never been for 18 months can be a very daunting errand at times. But God never fails to uplift and support me as long as I'm living righteously! I make one decision at a time, and He stregthens and upholds me whenever I need it. We are never alone!

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

When Jesus Christ was on the Earth, He set up a church and He appointed Apostles to help him lead that church. He gave them the Priesthood--the authority to act in God's name for the salvation of His children. The Lord has clearly depicted that His church is to be run under the direction of Prophets and Apostles. (Amos 3:7; Ephesians 2:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-15) They "bring us to a unity of faith." In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the men hold the same Priesthood authority Christ conferred on His Apostles at that time. As long as God loves His children, and He always will because He is "the same yesterday, today, and forever," He will appoint a Prophet and choose Apostles to help lead and guide His children giving them the tools and means that enable them to be happy and return to Him one day.
