Hi I'm Sue

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in an LDS family but became uninterested in going to church for several years while I was in my twenties. I married someone who was not a Mormon. He joined the church after we had been married for a couple of years and we have been involved with our church since that time. My husband recently served as the Bishop of our ward (congregation) for almost seven years. We raised our three children in the church which gave them a firm religious background. They are not active in our church at this time but we still love them very much and have a good relationship with all of them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of Jesus Christ as the saviour of our world. I also know that our church was restored by Joseph Smith who was visited by God the Eternal Father and his son Jesus Christ when he was just a boy of 14 years old. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God as is the Bible.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow and to obey the commandments of our saviour Jesus Christ. I continually learn how to be of service to others and to be a humble follower of Christ. I am definitely a work in progress.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Sue
Our bodies are a gift from God and it is important for us to take care of them. Man is composed of a mortal body and an immortal spirit. It is important that we provide a healthy tabernacle for our spirits because we are responsible for them. Our bodies are temples of God because we come into this life pure and undefiled. We will need to account for how we treat our body and our spirit. Show more Show less
